We're Not Your Typical Firm

Started in a cramped Vancouver office back in 2011, we've grown into something we're pretty proud of. We design buildings that actually make sense for the people using them - and yeah, the planet too.

Our studio

How We Got Here

Look, when Elena Krypton and Marcus Valquora first teamed up, they had more passion than clients. What started as late-night conversations about how architecture could do better turned into actual blueprints, then real buildings.

The thing that's always driven us? We got tired of seeing cookie-cutter designs that ignored what people actually needed - or what the environment could handle. So we decided to do it differently.

Today we're a team of 23 folks who genuinely care about creating spaces that'll still make sense decades from now. We've completed over 180 projects across BC and beyond, but honestly, we're still learning something new with every single one.

Our Journey So Far

A few milestones that shaped who we are

2011

The Beginning

Elena and Marcus opened our first office with three desks, two computers, and way too much coffee. Our first project was a residential renovation that taught us more than any textbook ever did.

2014

Going Green

Received our first LEED Platinum certification. That project changed everything for us - proved sustainable design wasn't just possible, it was practical.

2017

Recognition

Won the BC Architecture Award for our Waterfront Commons project. Honestly didn't see that coming, but it opened doors we'd only dreamed about.

2019

Team Growth

Moved to our current West Hastings space and grew to 15 team members. Finally had room to spread out and actually breathe between projects.

2023

Looking Forward

Completed our 180th project and launched our heritage restoration division. We're excited about what's next, but we're not forgetting what got us here.

What Drives Us

Three things we won't compromise on

01

Real Sustainability

Not just slapping solar panels on everything and calling it a day. We dig deep into materials, energy systems, and long-term impact. If it's not genuinely better for the environment, we'll tell you.

02

People First

Buildings aren't trophies - they're places where people live, work, and make memories. We spend time understanding how you'll actually use the space, not just how it'll photograph.

03

Honest Communication

We'll shoot straight with you about budgets, timelines, and what's actually possible. No jargon, no runaround. If something's gonna be challenging, you'll know upfront.

Meet The Team

The people making it happen every day

Elena Krypton

Elena Krypton

Co-Founder & Lead Designer

Elena's got this knack for seeing potential where others don't. She's the one sketching ideas on napkins at lunch that somehow turn into award-winning buildings. Outside the office, she's either hiking the North Shore trails or experimenting with woodworking.

Marcus Valquora

Marcus Valquora

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Marcus is our reality check - in the best way. He makes sure Elena's ambitious visions actually stand up and don't blow the budget. When he's not obsessing over structural details, you'll find him coaching youth soccer or tinkering with his vintage motorcycle.

Sarah Chen

Sarah Chen

Senior Architect

Sarah joined us in 2015 and she's basically our sustainability guru. If there's a greener way to do something, she'll find it.

David Okonkwo

David Okonkwo

Project Manager

David keeps our projects on track without making everyone crazy. He's got this calm way of handling chaos that we all envy.

Priya Sharma

Priya Sharma

Interior Design Lead

Priya has this amazing ability to make spaces feel just right. She's all about the details that make a house feel like home.
